I’m a simple man… my PS4 is only 500gb. These 500gb were all I needed but then Call of Duty: Modern Warfare came out. Right out the gate this game was absurd and was something like 85gb. I barely had the room. But then the updates started rolling out seemingly week by week. Eventually I was deleting entire games for these updates. On the last update my PlayStation said I needed to clear something like 80gb to make room for it. I had to delete GTA V and NHL20 so I could play warzone again and again even though I have never even come close to winning it. At this very moment COD is taking up 194.2gb meanwhile Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is 34.37gb.
Now I don’t like to be a conspiracy theorist but I can’t help but think this is one grand scheme by Infinity Ward to make me delete every other game on my console. What’s especially suspicious about their behavior is that unless you do the update you pretty much can’t do shit. Like I can play the campaign but who the fuck does that? So they whip out their big Infinity Ward cock, slap it on the table, and say “delete everything else and download this update.” And guess which sucker does it? This guy right here! I delete everything else off my PlayStation so I can continue to get noscoped by a bunch of 8 year olds.
I know absolutely nothing about video games and as far as I know the gigabyte is a myth “like the Loch Ness Monster! Or North Dakota!” (if you didn’t get this reference then you didn’t watch Jimmy Neutron as a kid and shame on you.) What I do know is that my damn PlayStation is stuffed to the gills with these damn COD gigs and it can’t handle much more. I am currently shopping for a 2tb external hard drive and I am fully prepared to fill up that entire thing with COD updates over the next year. Either that or I delete COD and never turn back. If I did that I could bring back all the games that I had to retire for this damn addiction. Anyway I’m gonna sign off now cuz I’m about to drop at the Prison (is there anywhere else?).
